The timing of that report couldn't have been more, well, interesting. I've given some more thought to the timing. It may have been coincidental. We see reports like that fairly often but only those of us looking for them. Mostly there's barely a ripple if any ripple at all. So what's different about this one. One is that it's about an arena that has always been more politics than science. Which leads to more play and a less rational reaction. The message has been in the works for a while so it's not like it was designed to coincide with the legislative process. And scientists can be and often are pretty obtuse when it comes to communication. So I will agree with you that it's interesting--sans eye roll interesting.
