After that one day class I took, I'm no longer afraid of making bread....DO add 1-2 teaspoons of sugar to the yeast mix of yeast and warm water...that's the other trick...Use 117 degree water...hotter than wrist temp, and not too hot...the proof raises nicely while you assemble the other ingredients. And do kneed it (about 8-10 minutes) until little bubbles appear on the surface...then you know it will come out well...

On the bread business....DO NOT be afraid of making bread...what's the WORST thing that can happen? Yep, that's right...you'll just have to toss the whole thing. BUT you won't...you'll have fun doing it!

I'm going to try that one too...and can't believe I'm going to do those beans....but if the young fellers (now 22-18) love them, I will do it! (anything for extra hugs, eh?)
