The quote is a fake. Thomas Jefferson never said it.

I find it a bit weird the way the author attacks the legitimacy of Becks data via this one miss cited quote. Personally, I don't give a crap who said it, the truth is the truth.

Fact of the matter is that there have been many memorable quotes from founding fathers that have been attributed in error. My personal fav is " A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. "
It's been attributed to many.....

It might be good advice, but the everyone, including the staff at FOX would have to dig very, very deep to find the true author of the quote.
