How many ways can you spell "Mistrial"?

I'm concerned also about Holder's and Obama's pronouncments that they will be convicted and sentenced to death.

Liberalism is a mental disease - these guys are out claiming victory in a trial that hasn't happened yet the primary reason for the trial is to show the world how we are a civil nation of laws. So sad it's funny.

KSM and Co. have been given a gift wrapped argument that it will be impossible for them to get a fair trial anywhere in the United States as a result.

Of course, it would be legal malpractice if their attorneys didn't spend their opening arguments citing these statements and calling the whole affair a Stalinist Show Trial.

But I don't think Holder minds.

Here's what I think you have to bear in mind: Holder, Jarett, et. al. are still in "speaking truth to power" mode, not having internalized the fact that they ARE power now, and the offices they are trashing are their own.

Holder thinks he can use this KSM trial to put Bush in the dock. He doesn't understand that President Obama, and he himself, will be in the same dock with Bush.

There is also the effect of drinking your own kool-aid for too long. The Dems spent 8 years decrying the very idea of military tribunals as fascist (precedents be damned). By now they really believe they will collect admiration from the world for holding some civilian trials. I know it sounds hard to believe that they would be foolish enough to believe that they could deflect anti-Americanism with such a lame gesture, but I really think that's what they believe.

Don't prosecutors say things like that all the time yet are still able to go ahead with trials? My question is where will the govt find 12 neutral jurors in NYC.......or most anywhere in the U.S. for that matter?

Has there ever been a President and/or AG who has made the same pronouncements about anyone as these two have about KSM? They are BOTH supposed to know better....

So we just have to think what they said WAS intentional. Are they truly trying to get these murdering SOB's off?

You have the President and the Chief law enforcement officer of the United States announcing very publicly an opinion on the guilt of the defendants. KSM and Co. have been given a gift wrapped argument that it will be impossible for them to get a fair trial anywhere in the United States as a result.
