Funny thing is that I have been so busy lately that I haven't been able to check this board very often. I posted a few day ago, but basically I haven't followed it for the last month. Then tonight I check it and I see your post. Weird, huh. Anyway, I respect the fact that you acknowledged you were wrong--it takes a man to do that. I for one finally decided to buy ASND last month when it dipped to 32 1/2. I feel comfortable with this price, and would not hesitate to average down, BUT I am not sure that the time is now. We may see some short term pricing pressure. But, I feel the bottom is close and I don't see us hitting the teens unless 1)we experience a further market crash 2) Ascend comes out and says that they will miss next quarter again. Hopefully none of these will happpen. However, ASCEND is still a great company. They have ~593million in cash and cash equivalents. They have NO long term debt and they are the market leader in many, if not all of the market segments they partcipate in. For a good articles on Ascend go to Microsoft Investor. Jim Jubak, who is a great investor, and writes excellent columns has a lot to say about them. There is also another article written about 3 weeks ago "How to decend on Ascend" which you can find there. Sorry this post is so long, it has to be since I might not be able to get back here for another few weeks.

Although my viewing of the ASND thread has engendeared a fair amount of respect for your views already, I must say the ability to "suck it up" as you say dramatically increases my respect (I say this being almost 3K shrs long ASND and weeping with the rest of the thread). Thanks much to you and the rest of the regulars for the info. put out on the thread of an extremely frustrating stock.
