Can't help, I have no control over the behavior of SI. The only thing I can do is ban people. Honest, I asked the SI folks to give me total power but they declined....

It may have something to do with your membership level, but that's only a guess.

What I do is click the "mark as last read" link when I'm on the last message. Then when I look at the top-level IMMU list (http://siliconinvestor.com/subject.aspx?subjectid=56783) the item I marked as "last read" appears in purple. I click on the next one and read forward from there.

If you click the browser back link (usually a left-pointing arrow) or choose something from history, what you can get is the last page you were viewing as it existed when you viewed it because it's stored locally. So if you view the last message on the list, the "Next" link is dead. Then sometime later, if you use the browser history list and get back to that page, the link is still dead. Here's a test to see if that's what you're seeing. Hit the refresh button (also f5). If the link suddenly becomes live then this is your problem.

I have no idea whether this has any bearing on what you see, but maybe....

If this seems like gibberish, blame the geeky mind-set.

Best
