Gallup says Obama's approval by those earning more than $90,000 began at 66% when Obama took office in January. It dipped to 60% at the start of June and 53% at the start of September. It was 49% for the first two weeks of November.

(Obama's overall approval fell below 50% in Gallup's daily tracking poll for the first time Friday. Several other surveys have breached that key mark.)

The IBD/TIPP Presidential Leadership Index fell to 53.3 in November from 71 in February. Readings over 50 are positive.

Obama's readings for high earners, investors and college graduates sank below 50 for the first time.

Quinnipiac University's polling had similar results. Obama's approval among those making $100,000 or more has fallen to 47%-46%.
