Before you were born Canadian researchers discovered the cause of diabetes, and were awarded a Nobel Prize for it. More recently the Blackberry is everywhere; where was it designed? In the country you love to hate. Canada is dull and, aside from the medical fees, not so progressive. Canada, like the UK and India, has the first past the post system, e.g. if one party gets 35% of the vote and two other parties get 30% each and the last party gets 5% of the vote, then the 35% party appoints the prime minister. I suppose some Canadian lady lost interest in you. Or maybe you lost your shirt buying some Canadian gold mining stock which ran out of gold. Most Americans are hoh-hum about Canada; it doesn't usually arouse emotions.
