I don't like Brooks, and don't agree with him often, but I agree with him about Geithner. People are looking for someone to blame, and he's a geeky wonk who's easy to dislike. I think he deserves praise, not blame. I think history will vindicate him. The job he did was hardly perfect, he let AIG and the banks take too much and promise too little. His task was unprecedented - prevent the Bush depression IMMEDIATELY. We ALL owe this guy.
