I sort of agree. You can ony do so much to turn back macro economic changes but I think you have to try. You have to think strategically. Let the toys and sneakers go but keep Boeing, Caterpillar, John Deere, and even GM here for as long as possible.

We do have to pick winners and loser. If we are smart, we may not get it all right, but we can get it mostly right.

You can't blame GWB for everything but he was given a lot of authority and did more harm than good.
