Mary;

I sort of agree but getting it right is a big crap shoot. You have to be like an early stage venture capitalist. You put money into a lot of sectors hoping for a few winners. Betting on Boeing is like betting on technology that is not only cutting edge but it is proven technology.

My thinking is that betting on new technology sometimes needs a nudge from government whereas help for Boeing is helping a company with an already - almost - monopoly. Big big corporations have tended to become sluggish and lacking of real innovation. To be sure a crap shoot is a good term, but I like a little risk for a reward. Reward meaning good jobs.
