Yes and know. Fiddling with the details won't make that bill in to an affordable or otherwise reasonable program. A major overall would be needed.

As you already know: if the Senate succeeds in passing a proposal then it will come to a joint House/Senate committee most likely, and both proposed bills will get rewritten into a new form.

Which would almost certainly qualify as "very much like" the initial House bill that I've been talking about. Will it have important differences at the margin? Yes, but the basic thrust of the program is unlikely to change to any great degree.
