I know what they are...I just posted them. Actually you only partially did. You posted the income level where the surtax would kick in but that's not the only issue. But going with what you posted $500k. Fine we have a number if that makes you happy. Stealing the wealth of those who make $500k plus isn't right anymore than it would be if the level was $100k, or $50k. And the higher marginal rates reduce the incentives for some of the most capable people in the country. As for lack of sympathy for the rich, well I have little sympathy for that argument. Even if they where all unsympathetic bastards, it would still be both wrong and counterproductive to tax them at such high rates.
