Iraq was one of the worst basket cases of a society we could have chosen to deal with.

I guess I can agree with that since in Afghanistan we really didn't have a choice but to overthrow the Taliban.

However, apparently this administration appears to believe we have a choice about whether we let the Taliban take it back over.

The USA needs to have operatives and agents throughout the World looking out for those individuals that would do harm to America and or its personnel and property.

These individuals need to be well paid for their service.

The USA does not have a lot of choice in this matter, there are millions that hate us and will do us harm at their first opportunity, our collective mindset needs to be cognizant of this fact and deal with it accordingly.

The issue is reality and must be dealt with or there will be many more 9/11's, Fort Hood shooting's, etc....

Measuring the above realities against being a Global Player in Economics and GeoPolitics is a very complex issue...however we have to prioritize certain aspecs of our role on the Big Chessboard...

IMO when we get 4 years of Obama type administration we go backwards not forwards in these matters.
