I don't disagree with those astute observations. In them, one culture has already adopted science to a more advanced degree than the other. I was talking in a more historical perspective really about western civilization when I made those observations/arguments about the validity of science. I only got into it as a way of saying "science" is but one of the value systems (cultural norms) our US culture uses to evaluate politicians regarding the values argument surrounding Bachmann.
