Oh yeah,

The Senate is in Wonderland too. Has anybody tried to phone their senate delegation today? Their phone numbers are either: 1) busy, 2) disconnected, or 3) inbox is full.

I finally gave up and wrote out a letter in longhand and FAXed it in to both of them. Even the FAX number was busy for one of them.

The text of my letter:

Dear Senators Cantwell and Murray:

I am a constituent of yours living in xxxxxx County.

I'm contacting you by FAX because your phone numbers either do not work, are busy, or you mail box is full. I've tried three different numbers for each of you.

I'm contacting you to urge you to vote NO (against) cloture and NO (against) the turkey of a health care bill under consideration on the Senate floor right now. It is vital to defeat this assault on our medical system and our economy.

I have read this turkey and I will be checking to see how you vote.

Sincerely,
xxxxxxxxx
