Obama has been underwhelming both in his appointments and his performance. Makes no sense as an assertion. Particularly given the previous administration. If you are serious about this rather than just throwing opinions around like old clothes, then you need to offer some evidence. Not that some of his appointments have been lackluster, though you would need to say which and why, but what is the standard for "underwhelming."

Frankly I do not want to get into this, we can go back and forth forever. I don't blame you for not wanting to delve deeper into this subject, as you have distorted out-of-context remarks to falsely caricature the appointees you mentioned, whereas the actual shortcomings of dozens of GWB appointees are extreme and well-documented. Of the many contrasts between the GWB and the Obama administrations, the competent, mostly non-ideological appointees of the Obama administration stand out in sharp relief.
