1 It's amazing. I seem to be the only one on this thread that is expected to support his opinion.

Only when you disagree with someone. We all need to state the reasons for our disagreements. You simply state something--Obama's bad appointments--that, if you wish many of us to take you seriously, need to be argued for. If you don't, I doubt Dale will kick you off. But we will continue to take you less seriously than you might like.

If you state the reasons, it's possible to engage in a conversation; if you don't, conversation is not possible.

2. Why is it that any criticism of Obama seems to result in a comparison to Bush.

I don't know that everyone does that. We all offer criticisms of Obama. I've been known to lay a few out in a rather heated fashion over healthcare, the stimulus, you name it. You just, again, need, if you wish to be taken seriously, do more than simply assert. Tell us why you think so, so we can discuss them with you.

As for Bush, it's a common reply that whatever is wrong with Obama, it can't be as bad as Bush was.

The reason we elected Obama was that he was supposed to be an improvement.

Did you vote for him? I get the sense from your posts that you didn't. As for my reply, check the sentence just prior to your quote.

1) You've not been on this thread long enough to have seen the requests for evidence from anyone who makes what appears to be an unsubstantiated claim. You are not special in this regard.

2) You made the claim that any presidential appointee possesses certain traits, making a comparison to other administrations not only reasonable but desirable.
