Bush was one of the least political Presidents we've had.

Say what? You've got to be kidding. You think the country got this divided all on its own??? LOL.

>> Bush was one of the least political Presidents we've had. He didn't even make a concerted effort to defend himself against slander.

Absolutely correct, and while at the time, I recognized the honor in his behavior, in retrospect, I now understand that an administration MUST defend itself.

Look at these horrible assholes we have in the WH now -- at every moment, laying blame on Bush. And Bush continues to remain silent.

But look what Bush's refusal to engage in political sludge has wrought. We now have the first anti-American, America-hating president in history.

Had Bush not been so professional, non-political, courteous, and accommodating for these liberals this outcome might well have been different.

As it is, they have three more years in which they can literally kill America as we knew it and as the Founders hoped it would be.

Pathetic, but true. You can't just stand there are take one punch after another and not defend yourself. I recognized this as a problem when Bush FOOLISHLY took responsibility for a purportedly slow FEMA response after Katrina, when in fact, the FEMA response had been just about as good as anyone could have imagined. It was downright impressive.

It was the response of Ray Nagin and Kathleen Blanco that destroyed NOLA. (Having just returned from NOLA for the 2nd time in a month, I can say that the city looks great today, as long as you stay out of the Lower 9th).
