If the life you'd like to lead is whatever the floor America provides, then by all means, go for it. Having health insurance guaranteed and a few hundred dollars a month in my pocket sure ain't gonna make me retire.

Tens of millions would love to spend their life that way ... oh, they might substitute Oprah and the Kardashians for SI but basically you're right.
