So glad your story has a happy ending.

Yes, I did have sisters, but since they were much younger (14 & 19 years) it was never a competitive thing for them. Yes, the expectations for my sisters were less, but this too is back in the "olden" days when expectations for women were less.

One sister shed a semi-hippie back to the land life style (somewhat) and graduated from college with a nursing degree from the ages of 41-45 while still being in charge of a family.

The other sister kind of takes after my mother (artsy/crafty) and has raised 2 daughters with 3 different husbands. She also is Jehovah's Witness which certainly adds an interesting mix to family discussions.
