Yes, we hopefully want to have politicians who form their legislation on a rational basis, but because of ideological gerrymandering and posturing we seldom get this. Plus any politician who does succeed in getting by ideological litmus tests and into office then has to stare down the mantra of his right or left wing.

That is such an interesting dream inasmuch as it seems so mundane in topic. Do your dreams usually run in such themes?
