Right...it was the dems touring the country with stories on "pulling the plug on grandma" and "death panels" and other lies and distortions like these. There were lies and distortions on both sides, and there have been at least 10x as many that are orders of magnitude more egregious than anything the Rs did. For example, the claim that the bill doesn't cut Medicare. Lie. The claim it would save money. Lie. The claim it doesn't allow government to mandate procedures. Lie. The claim that private insurance profits are a problem. Lie. The claim that private insurance is more inefficient than MC/MA. Lie. The claim that the bill will increase competition. Lie. The claim that American health care is 37th behind Costa Rica. Lie. The claim that it will improve American health care. Lie. There are literally hundreds of lies that have been told by Democrats throughout this process. And frankly, the worst of it is that probably 99% of Americans have no idea about any of it. There is not one liberal on this thread who has made the effort to become informed about the subject. You ALL have an opinion. But not one of you is informed. The republicans are playing their proper and well earned role of disruptive, undermining, negative value add. When you've been locked out of the process and people are trying to destroy the country, you do whatever you can to put up roadblocks. After their performance, I sincerely hope NONE. The president and dems courted these treasonous bastards longer than they should have. Exactly. You want one-party government. Which was the point I made yesterday. You support a socialist or fascist or communist regime running the country although, for some reason, you won't admit that. Most of us do not. We believe that American democracy is its strength and we do not want to see it dismantled by this socialist/fascist president who was elected on a fluke.
