Kids are not taught

That is sadly true. I recall getting a lot of stuff early in school... ongoing. and then in H.S. in senior year we had only two required classes: English and then a semester of economics and a semester of Government. If you don't know the history and how things work... difficult to know your role in it.

I would agree that lack of knowledge about our system, and its history, is as great a danger to its failure as there anything.

I'll click the article now while the Saints drive on the Bucs. ooops, took so long on this the game got tied before I hit send.

interesting article. and well-written. He took the time to say that certain references were not meant to be incinderary, and I don't think they were... he was drawing correlations between means of coming to power mostly, not worrying of ovens.

I disagree on some specifics, but agree on quite a bit. I agree repubs have been playing footsie too long; I think the dems have also. just about everyone in D.C. has. money money money and fame and the 'best' parties to attend and rub them elbows.

thanks. I will read that again to think on it some more.
