Right on!

>>Yes, so far he may be the best president in my lifetime BUT I have high expectations for Obama...I want our president to stand up to the Military Industrial Complex and seriously cut wasteful defense spending...I want our president to get us out of Iraq and Afghanistan AHEAD OF SCHEDULE...I want our president to stand up to Wall Street and hold them accountable for their actions...I want our president to be more aggressive when it comes to re-building our infrastructure and rolling out Green Technologies to deal with Global Warming. The bar is set high for Obama and I don't want him to be a cautious centrist who worries about re-election...Do what's right for the country and GO BIG or go home.

Like I told koan, I suggest you ratchet down your expectations. The US federal gov't is an ocean liner, not a speed boat. It will turn very slowly no matter how hard Obama pushes down on the throttle. In fact, he is going faster than I expected......and it shows.....the man is beginning to look anorexic.

More importantly, even if he doesn't move faster, Dems/liberals would be foolish to pick up all their marbles and go home. And that's what they are talking about doing by not voting next year. Giving the gov't back to the Rs because Obama isn't meeting heightened expectations is in my mind the epitome of foolishness.
