......that is what i heard. this will give cpq a chance to be the dominant international computer company imho.

......the recession will shake out the weak dogs as cpq and the other top companies use this time to establish a stronger consumer base in inexpensive pc's. as the ASEAN countries see pc's dropping below $1,000 i think there will be very little slowdown in this segment over the next 1-2 years.

.....if cpq was selling $3-4,000 machines that would be different. i think they are ahead of dell in this regard.
