Sea trade from ancient times, which you were overlooking. That explains the Jews and Christians in Kerala a long time ago.

And the Indus/Saraswati area was on the main land trade route between Europe-MiddleEast-India-Burma-Indonesia; Alexander the Great got stopped around there, Islam and Islamic rulers ultimately went all the way to Indonesia, the route Bin Laden says he wants to take over.

>I see that there was migration from there to Goa and then south to Kerala. We visited Indian friends in Cochin and they took us to a Jewish temple which had been there for ages as had the Jews of Cochin>

I trust everyone understands that the advantage of intelligence for survival no longer holds. Relatively few intelligent people now make medicines, clean water, and food for the less educated masses. Supported by this technology, the masses procreate and survive at rates many times higher than the intelligentsia. Consequently, for the species as a whole, there is now an evolutionary disadvantage to being smart. You spend too much time studying and not enough time doing "something else". I also trust you can see where this is going.

PS - Of course, after the last "smart" person dies, no one can read the instruction manuals, and so the whole evolutionary process begins anew.
