No, you won't understand no matter how many different ways I present the facts.

Last time:

Using this criteria:
* Uninsured individuals will be fined $750 per year.
* Insurance companies will be required to accept all new customers, even with preexisting conditions.
* Insurance companies will be forbidden from canceling policies when a person got sick.
* Insurance companies will not be allowed to charge sick people more than healthy people.

Contemplate me paying $750 a year penalty for having no insurance, then if and when I need insurance I go buy it because I can't be declined and I won't be charged more than healthy people, look at all of the money I'll save.

I'm sure all of the current insurance companies will continue to operate profitably under those circumstances...
