John;

I thought we had all concluded, since De.........

What we voted on this?

Those who disregard gold price do so ignoring history. There is no inconsistency here in my mind. The world is becoming awash in dollars and looking for someplace, any place that will offer a return. Since most conventional places increasingly look like a poor investment, gold is looking more attractive even though it pays no interest. I wonder if the rise of gold this time has less to do with inflation - because of unemployment - and is more about the falling dollar?

To suggest that conventional wisdom started in 92 watching bond prices has a rather short record to rely on?

Having said all this, I hope you are right - and that I am wrong.
