Perhaps by observing the simple fact that the earth has been warming ever since the last Ice Age? Naw, that would be too scientific, readily provable, and simple. Somehow we have to attribute it to mankind. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Riversides, if you're looking for me to explain icecap melting I say, "Choose whatever explanation satisfies you." There is good science supporting both sides of the issue. There are too many hotheads in this debate, arguing without regard for fact or logic and mutually demanding a standard of proof thay can't meet. No matter; it won't change the future one iota. That is foretold by human nature and history. It's as predictable as the next financial meltdown: inevitable. Jim

Am I not correct that the reason Greenland is called Greenland is that it was once much warmer and there was no glacier. As I understand it this medievil warming period was a time of great progress for mankind, It was warm throughout europe and grapes were grown in Britain. Humans prospered. Presumbably all of this occured at a time when carbon emmissions were much lower. What are we to make of this, especially in light of the hacked computer information that was revealed this week. lj
