ALL IDX: Texas newspapers are reporting that the test of fingerprint ID use in two Texas counties yielded no benefits and did not reduce welfare fraud: chron.com How come it works in many other states... possibly because of the limited trial?? (welfare recipients could still go to other non-participating counties to claim duplicate benefits). Or as the article states, one agency was using the index finger and another which was being used to cross-check was using a thumb print. (Duh?) Article states that state still plans to spend funding to implement statewide.

Brad: Has IDX got anything going with the copy centers or AAA? The reason why I thought about there being a market at these places is because they do passport photos. Seems like you could get all your ID at one place. Just a thought. Ann
