You said it was a good question.

It is a good question (raised by someone else). I said some libertarians might object to insurance as a market distorter. Well here is what I said on the other thread:

They distort natural, free market decisions and promote risk taking. CDSs being a case in point.

Not saying that's my opinion... just that some would see it that way. Legalized gambling... that's why it's always been regulated to the hilt. Along with money lending considered a more unsavory way of making money in our Judeo-Christian culture.


You can go back to the Bible for other references to people who make money with money. I'm anything but an expert.
