elwood, what Cabot does with his management fund and what he does with the newsleter have not been fully correlated in the past. their management fund may have been selling during the day, although i don't know if his management fund actually owned cymer. much of what he touts on the letter is also part of the management fund. the stocks he has sold recently have had little to no impact on the stocks price. a stock goes where it will go with or without him.

Elwood,

Cabot said nothing about triggering its 20% loss rule.

"We are selling Cymer from the Model Portfolio because the stock's
performance has weakened further and we are developing a loss."

With year end fast approaching, Cabot is more concerned about its
annual return than Cymer's excellent long range prospects if one
interprets the above message correctly.

What's really puzzling is why Cabot would be selling here when
its cost basis is around $25? I'm glad Cabot will be out of the
picture unless it decides to ante up later.

In any case, October is history thank goodness.

Best of luck to all, Allan
