The earth heals itself when we stop dicking with it. Look at Lake Erie. When I was a boy it was devoid of fish and so polluted it was said fish would never live there again. Now it's a great fishery. You had a river in Ohio that started on fire and burned that I understand is now a pristine water with abundant fish.

Same thing will happen in China. At some point they will realize they can't survive without a livable environment and as we did they will stop polluting and whalla, the earth will heal itself yet again.

Are you saying I don't need to impoverish myself and live the life of an ascetic caveman in order to "Save the World?"

Happy Days are here again!!!

Totally agree....It doesn't mean we can't conserve our resources, but to tax people for 'carbon thingees' is patently stupid.

So what if the US currently uses more resources per capita....Does the US help people and countries when a tsunami hits? Or flooding, or earthquake? What about the continually poor countries who don't have enough food? Doesn't the US help out there too? And what about drugs and other medical equipment/supplies....not many countries in the world have companies who manufacture these items after decades of R&D...Do all of those countries want the US to stop using resources, therefore stop bringing them help when they need it....

Do that for a decade or so, and just hear the hue and cry!
