And I stand by it. It's as clear as it can be. I differentiate between "the whole party" and the "base." Have not applied that characterization to the former. But for the predominance of the latter, I would likely be among the former. It would make no sense for me to tar them with the same brush.

Your posts are often merely blind criticism of moderate stances and partisan belittlement of conservatism.

Huh? I haven't criticized anything moderate, I don't think. I will criticize moderation achieved through compromise on system design because it's a lose/lose. But I have nothing against moderation and seriously doubt you can find instances of my coming down on it. As for belittling conservatism, I have definitely been known to belittle social conservatism. Relished it, even. Never fiscal or constitutional conservatism, though. You are applying too broad a brush there.
