No, Brooks was explaining both sides of his perspective. I am seeing both sides of mine. You are merely much closer in philosophy to the least liberal person Pinch can stand to be associated with.

It is a sorry state when folks can't even acknowledge that there exist two sides.

When that happens we will deal with it.

You seem to be unwilling to admit that opinions you disagree with are valid.

You appear to have been infected with the liberal gene that grants you the right to determine what is best for others. I have not. I recognise the right of man to maintain free will as long as it is not grossly harmful to society.

I think we can agree that a society has a right to quarantine a person with the plague who refuses to seek help. I doubt if you would agree that a person with plague who lives in complete isolation is not society's responsibility.
