That would make it real, and if we talk about how will we pay for this or that and insist we know how before doing it... only makes sense. and can anyone on the right who supports the war say they don't want to pay for it? it's a fine box.

A criticism of Bush has been that during war, he gave tax breaks to those who didn't need it viz. the rich. So it is indeed a brilliant idea that we will sustain the war by removing the tax breaks for the rich.

It could be a brilliant political move.
