Nice post Meadhead. I wish Dell will increase its R&D spending as a percentage of revenue. They are now the number 1 provider of desktop computers to corporations. They should therefore establish a statute as an innovation leader. A side note, Dell is hitting on all cylinders except one: DellWare. I have ordered something from this division and my experience tell me there is room for improvement. This division sells parts, perepherals etc. It is easy to be ignored and get a stepchild position. But when organized correctly, it can be a highly profitable business. Compaq is rumored to be making lots money on selling monitors etc. Since you seem to be well-informed and well-connected with DELL, hope this message can reach them.
