That article contains 4 examples of pH, all alkaline, none were acid. Even the projections for 2050 and 2100 were still clearly alkaline and were obtained from models. There is only one data point actually created from real data and that is the 1990's and that pH is 8.104, quite strongly alkaline not acid.
