Sorry i-niode,

I used to work with one of the executive producers of Frontline years ago (Michael Kirk) while I worked in public broadcasting as an engineer editing some of their video tape. I respect their work. Their awards speak for themselves. If you can disprove their journalism I'd love to see it, not to mention all of us who work in the broadcast field.

Edit:

This was one of Michael's best docs.

you would do well to forget about Frontline

This thread covered that show before--more than a year ago. I thought it was an excellent program. It contrasts the various systems being used quite well. That's where I learned, among other interesting tidbits, that in the excellent health care system in Japan patients get something three minutes with their doctor each visit. There are plenty or pros and cons of each. It's just that the liberals get dreamy-eyed over the pros and either don't notice or dismiss the cons. And their opposite number gets all hostile and dismisses the show out of hand because it's PBS. I recommend it.
