Ok ole 49r, I'm not sure I understood everything in your post, but it does seem there is some manipulation of the price of gold. It certainly bears keeping an open mind about. As for bgo, I think I'll just hang onto it and forget about it. With all the potential announcements over, I probably won't be monitoring this thread much unless something dramatic happens to the pog or bgo. Thanks for your extensive response.

Very inciteful post, but wasn't it William Miller who "engineered" the great inflation of the late 70's? In his short stint as Fed chief the money supply was increase at a 12-16% rate. Volker usually gets credit for bringing inflation down to its present levels by raising rates and instituting
the policy of targeting the money supply increase.
.. It's interesting that long time insider watcher Larry Abraham (co author of None Dare Call It Conspiracy) has recently been recommending the purchase of gold/gold shares. He claims that when gold hit $330, insiders began their accumulation..
. I think you are right on in your assessment
of what's holding down the gold price. If that situation should change, either by design or by circumstance, coupled with all the forward sales of gold, we could see a feverish gold spike.
. I am also from Portland and have always thought it was called the "Rose City" because of
the flower (just kidding).
