We'll just have to be Fed watching, as always in these markets.

I don't think gold is going to 12K overnight or even next year.
One good metric is DOW/gold ratio. It says rotate in low single
digits.

Fed policies can sure do stuff to gold if they get serious
about it - get the real rates positive, stop printing and
stuff. They mentioned how they "plan" to "drain". The problem
is credibility of such a statement, which amounts
to empty talk. They never ever had real rates positive
during this decade. On the other hand, if they
decide to go on a permanent printing rampage, then 12K will not
be enough. It is just not clear, and much depends
on the policies the government decides to pursue in the future.
The past so far ensures higher gold prices -g-
