I'm following three people who have been treated with hPAM4, two have been treated twice and one finished this first treatment almost 8 weeks ago. All three seem to have had good responses, the third patient has yet to be evaluated at the "key" 8 week follow up. I just got off the phone with the first patient treated at 12mc. Not only did he have stage lV pancreatic cancer, but was told he had one of the most aggressive types. It appears from the scans he had before the attempted Whipple and the ones he got later, that it had doubled in size in just over a month (January). After the 12 week follow up scans following his first treatment, it had shrunk 41%. The latest scans show no advance of the size of the tumors, they are pretty much the same as they were back then, the primary on the pancreas and a small one on the omentum, where two small ones were removed in the failed whipple procedure. That isn't the best news, he feels as good or better today than he has this year. His blood counts are recovering and he is active. He is looking forward to Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow and with a lot to be thankful for. He gives God the credit and says that he didn't find and get into the trial by chance. Pretty cool to think about that as we go into Thanksgiving. The other patient I follow closely who was treated twice at 12mc also is going to have a nice Thanksgiving. He is feeling very well, good appetite and has never had any pain from his tumor. Little doubt both of them will be having a good Christmas as well. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
