"Regulation", and "Environmental regulation", are two different things. A lot of regulation has nothing to do with the environment.

All of quotes below the dividing line in this post, are about ways that Denmark intervenes less than the norm.

Denmark's Business Freedom, Investment Freedom, Financial Freedom, Freedom from Corruption, and Labor Freedom Scores are higher than those of the US. The only reason we score (slightly) higher then them in the overall ranking is that our Government Size, and Fiscal Freedom scores are much better (those scores are primarily about taxing and spending)
