I made it perfectly clear why I discontinued the discussion. Why are you trying to psychoanalyze my motives? That's a cheap shot the kind of which Mr Peanut Gallery is now famous for, frankly I expected more from you. It was a one way conversation with me answering all the questions that you asked and you refusing to answer mine.

As far as fear goes: the only fears that were displayed were by you, when you were afraid of answering direct pertinent questions and were fearful of stating your worldview just in case you might somehow misrepresent it.

It rang hollow then, and it rings hollow now. I suspect it's really because you do in fact support abortion on demand at any stage of pregnancy and you don't want to have to defend the indefensible. Further; you seem to hold some weird mixture of New Age Pantheism and are afraid or unable to defend it.

<Fear of loss is a powerful motivator though.>

Yep... some people take discussions more "personally" than others...

"Gain" and "Loss": Primordial I suppose...taken in a broad context I've heard it said that it is an elaborate version of this that is the human ego:

1.) Take a single celled organism, it's interface with it's world (mind) could simplistically be looked at as "good and bad"... food- move towards, reproduce; poison- move away. Poison = death.
2.) With higher beings the interface becomes more elaborate... some 'fight', some run, more elaborate strategies, mating, etc.
3.) Humans would be the ultimate in elaborateness but really the mind works the same way.

Any argument is probably simply a primordial "getting" or "losing". In today's society (especially the West) this has simply 'morphed' as society 'morphed'... ie. "getting" and "losing" isn't just food... it's second homes and boats...

Probably what is referred to as relativism. Yet, the "ego"... (whatever you want to call it)... our "getting" and "losing" instinct is probably hardwired at some level.

Probably why it's so important to get out of the mall and travel once in a while. :))

Just babbling. :))
