Bulba, Since Biotech Charity Contest participants are notoriously shy about expressing their opinions publicly, I propose you count the number of recommendations on the relevant posts to make the determination re contest cutoff date: To vote for December 31 as the cutoff, recommend post #321 (Biotech Jim's post).
