Forget the context, just look at the words and how they read.

Its written like a fictional novel...that's why I asked the context. Its not written poorly although I think it has one or two more commas than necessary. What is the frigging big deal? Didn't you say this came from Palin's book? What is the point you are trying to make? That she writes okay? Didn't she have a ghost writer?
