PARMER LANE or PALMER lane what the heck is the dif.. there is a burger King there and it's a local lunch hangout for DELL employees. meathead...a real I/S person would first ask the question.." why are we doing this spread sheet in the first place... before they just hide the problem...this is what I'm talking about with all these posts and why i think I'm trying to expalin sex to a 5 yr old( no offense) Many times, my guys determine their is a need for the spreadsheet so we just run a report at night against our ERP database and have it do all the work. and we don't print a report we have it send an email to the person or post it on the intranet automatically, or xtraent, or send an EDI... just some options instead of having the person do in on spreadsheet. Or streamline the process and do away with the task entirely. Working on a bunch of things where it autopost the html to internet so you you can look at it<gg> If don't have AP, A/R, payroll, interface with customers and vendors, etc. etc. then I think you are dreaming again. And, you have again proved that your corp. is typical Austin I/S......... you settle for slope served on a paper plate. Austin is famous among us I/S profesionals in the US as hecker haven for MIS.. it does have a great rep for internet, but their creativity on internet is alittle light. send that email and you will see what I'm taking about there.
