Think it's 'only' half a tonne - so far -g- ... let's see, specific gravity 19.3 times this, divide by that ... um, that gold would take up less than the space of six gallons liquid measure, a little over seven US gallons ... so you'd get as many as a dozen decent sized doorstops out of half a tonne, therefore the odds of finding it still around the office in dusty inconspicuous form seem reduced

And you just know there aren't that many Maple Leafs out there at half a gramme over, lol ... there will be an explanation for sure, wonder if we'll ever hear a satisfactory one ... it's not necessarily an output issue, could have had bad data entry on incoming metal, got shorted by suppliers, had metal walk away years ago and never noticed, could be anything ... hard to imagine how they'd rule out theft before finding out exactly what happened, though eh
