I also object to the fact that these men who make all the plans from administrations never served in the military. What was it that Cheney had ? Colin Powell I had faith in and
look what they did to him. Have him go and lie in front of the
UN Security Council.

I spent 6 months with special forces at Indian Town Gap in Pa.. in the Korean War. That gave me a taste of what the military was all about which left a rather sour flavor in my mouth. AND about war. When men brag about the number of Korean women they raped and the old men whose beards they cut off and the number of persons they dispensed with by throwing them down wells it makes one think. And then there were the notches in the belt for the number of kills.

This was not my cup of tea and it awakened me to the realities of war. I was only 21 at the time and rather impressionable.
My sensitivities did not sit well with my experience.

This has got to be the most insane undertaking in US history. Worse than Iraq. For a few pipelines, we're squandering a million per soldier in Assghanistan, to do what? Insanity. And just as sure as your checks will bounce when you're overdrawn, our country is being bankrupted by the military complex.
